Chemical Peels

At our clinic, chemical peels are never one size fits all. We offer a wide range of advanced formulations, from the no downtime buffered peels to our stronger compounded chemical peels. Each chemical peel is designed to work differently within the skin depending on your specific concerns.

Chemical Peels can treat a number of skin concerns, such as Melasma, Photo Damage, Acne and Ageing. They are a gentle yet effective way to exfoliate the skin. We have a lot of options when it comes to our peels, we will have one that is suited to your skin type.

There is no real down time with our walk in walk out peels, the skin will mildly exfoliate for 3-5 days post treatment, leaving your skin smooth and radiant. We call it the post peel glow.

When it comes to hormonal acne, congestion, and persistent breakouts, we take a targeted and layered approach. One of the most effective tools we use is beta hydroxy acid (BHA) peels, commonly formulated with salicylic acid. Unlike many other exfoliants, BHA is oil-soluble, meaning it can penetrate deep into the pore lining. This allows it to break down excess oil, dissolve congestion, and clear blockages from within the pore, rather than just working on the surface.

 

This makes BHA peels particularly effective for:

 

• Hormonal acne

• Blackheads and congestion

• Oily and acne-prone skin

• Inflamed breakouts

 

To enhance your results, we often recommend Dermalux LED Tri-Wave therapy. Clinically proven wavelengths of light, Red, Blue, and Near-Infrared, are utilised to target specific skin concerns.

• Red light stimulates collagen production, reduces inflammation and promotes overall skin health

• Blue light is effective in treating acne by targeting the bacteria responsible for breakouts

• Near-infrared light penetrates deeper into the skin, promoting healing and enhancing cellular regeneration

Our Dermalux LED system allows all 3 lights to be activated during your appointment.

For clients requiring deeper correction, we offer a selection of advanced and medical grade chemical peels designed to target more persistent concerns such as acne, pigmentation, and sun damage.

 

For acne prone skins, we recommend Jessner’s Peel, a powerful, multi-acid formulation that works to decongest pores, reduce inflammation, and regulate oil flow. This peel is particularly effective for more resilient, acne-affected skins and can also assist in improving post-acne marking and overall skin clarity.

 

For sun damaged, pigmented, and ageing skins, we utilise TCA (trichloroacetic acid) peels. These are considered a medium depth peel, working beyond the superficial layers of the skin to stimulate regeneration, improve pigmentation irregularities, and refine texture.

 

Due to their strength and depth of action, these treatments do involve planned downtime, which may include:

• Tightness and dryness

• Visible peeling or shedding

• Temporary sensitivity
