Fibroblast
Plasma Pen

The Full Story

What is Fibroblast Therapy?

Fibroblast therapy is the only cosmetic treatment to use plasma to reduce the volume of excess skin. When performed correctly by a trained therapist it is low risk, has minimal downtime and is more affordable than surgery. Fibroblast Treatment is known for its success with Non-Surgical Upper and Lower Eye Lifts, Crows feet, Neck Tightening and much more.

Results are immediate! So a single session is often all you need. Most clients will see results post-treatment. However, another treatment can be performed after 8-12 weeks if further results are desired.

Results and the required sessions can vary with each client, as it depends on the ageing of the skin, it's decrease in elasticity and how deep the wrinkle lines actually are. Prepping the skin prior for a minimum of 2 weeks is a must this will be discussed with you at the consultation.

What does the Fibroblast Plasma Pen do?

Fibroblast Therapy uses ionised gas in the air which create a small arc when it's a specific distance from the skin's surface.  We like to call this the plasma flash. When the arc touches the skin surface, the heat widens/scatters and is transferred into the epidermis all the way to the papillary layer which contains fibroblast cells. The skin then contracts, tightens and lifts. Overall, this method activates healing and this leads to the skin remodeling and improvement in various signs of ageing.

What are Fibroblast Cells?

Fibroblasts are active cells in the dermis. Their function is to increase the productions of fibres, collagen and glycosaminoglycans.
The number and productivity of fibroblasts decline with age. Their density gradually begins to decrease and fibroblasts in connective tissue rarely undergo division. Small injuries from plasma stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen and helps to elevate and remodel the elastin levels.
